Unidentified Woman Hit, Killed Crossing Bridge Into NJ: Troopers Investigators are still working to name the woman hit and killed on the Trenton Morrisville Toll Bridge Thursday morning, Jan. 11, state police say.  The victim was headed toward New Jersey in the northbound lanes of the bridge and walking along the concrete divider when she was hit by a tractor-trailer around 6:15 a.m., troopers said in a release.   The crash knocked her over the divider into the southbound lanes, where two passing cars both struck her, authorities said. The NJDOT says the crash happened southbound on the parkway near exit 91 B-A just before 3:30 p.m. Two lanes of traffic were closed as crews responded to the scene. Traffic backed up southbound on the Garden State Parkway in Brick Township, NJ, near milemaker 95.      NJDOT All lanes reopened just after 4 p.m., but traffic cameras continued to show traffic at a near-standstill for more than two miles.

Tractor-Trailer Becomes Fully Engulfed In Flames On NJ Turnpike In Bordentown (Updated) A tractor-trailer caught fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County, authorities said. New Jersey State Police responded at 4:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 to a vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike south outers, milepost 53.7 in Bordentown Township, according to spokesman Trooper Troy McNair. Upon troopers' arrival, a Wabash tractor-trailer was found fully engulfed in flames, McNair said.  There were no injuries reported and the cause remains under investigation, he said. The right shoulder remained blocked as of 11 a.m., 511nj.org reported.

Milky Sosa, 51, of Bloomfield in Essex County, died in the crash, Trenton police said. The drivers of the other dump trucks suffered minor injuries in the Route 129 collision. On Monday, Nov, 27, at about 9:30 a.m., police responded to wires across the roadway and two broken electrical poles.  A City of Atlantic City employee was operating a roll-off truck and had offloaded a dumpster, police said.
