Driver Crashes Into Central Mass Home After Being Shot A driver who crashed into a Worcester County home earlier this week had been shot before the crash, authorities said.  Officers were called to the home on Paine Street just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, to find the car against the home and a driver suffering from a bullet wound, Worcester police said.  Paramedics rushed the driver to an area hospital to treat his injuries. Police did not say where he was shot or the extent of his wounds. 2 $100K Lottery Tickets Sold At Same Pittsfield Convenience Store On Same Day It was a very lucky day at one convenience store in Western Mass on Monday, April 29, when they sold two $100,000 winning lottery tickets.  The winning tickets were bought at Jake's Variety store at 93 West Housatonic St. in Pittsfield. 'The Grief Is Indescribable': Family Of Slain Central Mass 14-Year-Old Asks For Help The family of a 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed late last week is asking for help to pay for his funeral.  Sterling Baptiste Jr. was shot and killed on Friday, April 26, in the Belmont neighborhood of Worcester. Police were called around 4:15 p.m. and found the boy bleeding from a gunshot wound inside an apartment. Despite their attempts to save his life, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.  A 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the shooting the following day.
