There was representation from local colleges, large public research universities, historically black colleges and universities, Ivy League schools, and schools as far away as Alabama.

All juniors and seniors, as well as some sophomores, attended the fair, which was organized by the guidance department.

"We organized the college fair to increase college awareness and expose students to opportunities and options available to them,” said Standards Administrator for Guidance Marci Tiggs. “The college fair was a kick off to College Application Week.”

During College Application Week, admissions officers from eleven colleges and universities will review student applications and make on the spot admissions decisions.

Guidance counselors will also hold general computer lab hours to assist students with their applications. All three high schools are participating.
