Frank DeLeonardis, who owns the former site of the Westchester Community College extension, was able to challenge his tax assessment through a tax certiorari, because the town hasn't revalued its property values since the 19th century, said Lohud.com.

Following the vote, Mayor Richard Thomas told board members that the town will need to pay attention to tax certiorari claims, added Lohud.com.
