What To Do In New Rochelle This Week

Monday, Oct. 1

Town of Pelham Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The Town of Pelham Board will hold its regular monthly meeting to discuss various items.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

New Rochelle School Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The board meets to discuss various items on the agenda during its Committee of the Whole session. The board will vote on items discussed during its regular meeting at 8 p.m. New Rochelle School District, Central Administration, second floor New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave. New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Zoning Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The board meets to discuss and possibly approve applications from residents, and businesses including Urban Community Metro for the creation of a new day-care center on the lower level of an existing building. New Rochelle City Hall, Room B-1.

Village of Pelham Board Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Village of Pelham will hold its  regular monthly meeting. Village Hall, 195 Sparks Ave., Pelham.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

New Rochelle EnvisioNR Meeting: The second public envisioNR meeting will give residents an opportunity to hear updates about the city's comprehensive plan and voice their opinions. Residents will be able to hear about the city’s strengths and weaknesses based on information committee members gathered from meetings with the public. Committee members will then ask the audience for opinions on where they feel the city can grow. Residents can contact the New Rochelle Planning Department for more information at 914-654-2185. New Rochelle Municipal Arts Commission Meeting: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The commission meets for its regular monthly meeting to discuss requests from businesses for signs at their stores. New Rochelle City Hall, Room B-2. 515 North Ave.

Thursday, Oct. 4

New Rochelle Yard Waste Collection: 7 a.m.-8 a.m. The New Rochelle Department of Public Works picks up yard waste from a designated location in the city.
