Mount Vernon Secretary Charged With False Overtime Claims

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon's former secretary to the water commissioner was arrested and charged with allegedly creating false overtime claims, according to LoHud.com.

Shauna Williams, 44, was responsible for payroll at the Board of Water Supply and allegedly made false claims of overtime worked that netted her more than $4,000, LoHud.com reported. 

Williams  resigned her position on Friday, Nov. 1 and she was charged with third-degree grand larceny. Williams could spend a maximum of seven years in prison if found guilty. She is due to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 16, according to LoHud.com.
