Mount Vernon Councilman Accuses Mayor's Brother Of Assault

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Councilman Andre Wallace and Steve Thomas, brother of Mayor Richard Thomas got into an altercation at a bar Thursday night.

Thomas was hosting a meet and greet at Maggie Spillane's when Wallace walked in, according to News12. The two men ended up outside and started pushing each other. Wallace said Thomas then punched him in the ear.

Thomas said Wallace spit in his face. Wallace said the mayor's detail threw him against the wall, twisted his arm behind his back and told him to take a walk, according to News12.

Wallace said he intends to file charges against Thomas.
