Westchester's LDC To Vote On Renovation Of Mount Vernon's Wartburg

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and Local Development Corporation will join together for a vote on a resolution that would revitalize Wartburg Senior Housing, a nonprofit that provides a full range of senior living and home care services to seniors throughout Westchester and the region.

The plan before the board would enable the Mount Vernon-based organization to save nearly $2.5 million by refinancing existing debt and paying for capital improvements to its assisted living facility, allowing the nonprofit to sustain its mission for the next generation of seniors.

The vote will take place at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at 148 Martine Ave., White Plains in the ninth-floor conference room.
