Jason Garcia - also known as “G-shine” and “Mecca-J” - an alleged high-ranking member of the Bloods Gang, was arraigned on a five-count indictment on Tuesday, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced.

According to the indictment, shortly before 1:45 a.m. on Dec. 10, 2016, outside of the Garden Bar on South 5th Avenue in Mount Vernon, the 35-year-old Garcia ordered the shooting of two people.

Scarpino said that one victim was shot in the chest and neck, while the second was struck in the head. Both survived, but will face lifelong medical issues as a result of the injuries they suffered in the shootings. The shootings were captured on surveillance video in the area. The investigation eventually led police to Garcia, who was subsequently arrested.

Garcia has been charged with attempted murder and two counts each of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He remains remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is due back in Westchester County Court on Aug. 28.
