The first attack occured On Oct. 20 2014. Javon Roberts abducted a 23-year-old woman by holding a knife to her throat while she was walking home from work, DiFiore said. Roberts attempted to rape the victim, but felt they were too exposed at their location and forced her to come with him, the district attorney said.

Roberts then defendant forced his victim to perform oral sex on him and then forcibly sodomized her multiple times, before allowing her to leave, the district attorney said.

On Dec. 4, 2014,  the defendant abducted an 11-year-old female who was walking home from a Christmas concert at a local library in Mount Vernon. He took her back to the building he lived in and committed similar lewd and violent sexual acts with the victim for over two hours, the district attorney said.

Police later interviewed the defendant on an unrelated investigation. The water bottle he drank from was handed over to the Westchester County Crime lab, where forensics connected him to the two crimes.

“The brutal and violent acts this defendant perpetrated against these two victims, one an 11 year old girl, belie the courage displayed by these women in coming forward," DiFiore said in a statement. "Additionally, excellent detective work and forensic analysis led to this defendant being held accountable for the depraved crimes he committed.”

Roberts will be sentenced on Sept. 1. As a juvenile defender, he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, the district attorney said.
