A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of having deviate sexual intercourse with a 52-year-old woman without her consent has reported a move in Westchester County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 60-year-old Anthony Fontaine, who has moved from Valhalla to a residence on South 3rd Avenue in Mount Vernon.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Fontaine as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent offender.
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Fontaine had sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with his female victim in June 2012, and he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape by use of forcible compulsion in March the following year. Fontaine was sentenced to a term of 42 months in state prison and is now under the jurisdiction of the Mount Vernon City Police Department.
