Voters will weigh in on the bond referendum on March 15 that includes about $18 million for Thornton to make it an arts and entertainment learning hub, lohud.com said.
The 1,500-seat theater has a decorated history hosting performances including Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in its 84 years.
Planned renovations include fixing warped areas of the stage and replacing seating, along with other upgrades, lohud.com said.
