Labor Day Week Sanitation Schedule Changes

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Due to the holiday, the city has altered its garbage collection for the week.

There will be no regular garbage or yard waste pickup Monday.
Regular Monday garbage pickup on Southside will be Tuesday. Regular Monday yard waste pickup on Northside will be Tuesday.
Regular Tuesday garbage pickup on Northside will be Wednesday. Regular Tuesday yard waste pickup on Southside will be Wednesday.
There will be no pickup of recycled bottles, cans or plastic Wednesday.
Regular Thursday garbage and rubbish with recyclables on Southside will be picked up that day.
Regular Friday garbage and rubbish with recyclables on Northside will be picked up that day.
