MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The City of Mount Vernon remains under a snow emergency and trash pickup has been suspended until further notice.
The city is reminding residents not to put their trash out for pick-up. All residents are asked to keep trash aside while the Department of Public Works continues snow removal.
Residents are reminded to keep the streets clear; not shovel snow into the street and shovel snow onto lawns and away from streets.
Residents are asked not to move parked vehicles unless it is absolutely necessary. There is no parking on snow emergency routes.
Other parking restrictions have been lifted.
