The annual Clear the Shelter Adoption Event has been scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, where there will be adoption fees waived or reduced during the special one-day event. It’s being hosted at the SPCA of Westchester’s care campus, located at 590 North State Road in Briarcliff Manor.

The animals that may be available for adoption can be found here. Officials said that “walk-ins are welcome that day, but submitting your application for pre-approval will jumpstart the process.”

All animals adopted through the SPCA are examined by a veterinarian, spayed and neutered, and are up to date on all vaccines (age appropriate) and microchipped. There will be more than 100 animals available for adoption.

Officials noted that “your entire family needs to be present and any dog(s) living in the home must attend that day as well.”

“We hope look forward to participating in Clears the Shelters for the fourth year a row and finding loving families for our many wonderful dogs and cats,” SPCA Executive Director Shannon Laukhuf said.
