In a press release, the Arts Council of Mount Vernon called Jones’ work “vibrant” and said the art is “ushering in warm thoughts of spring during this unusually cold winter.”

Mount Vernon City Hall is at One Roosevelt Square.

Also this month, works from local visual artist Rudy Martin are on display at the Mount Vernon Public Library.

Martin has been legally blind for more than a decade, and “his work is an example of victory, overcoming obstacles and limits that defy the common understanding of what can be accomplished,” according to the Arts Council of Mount Vernon.

The library is at 28 S. First Ave.
