Mount Vernon Schedules Date For Annual Bike-A-Thon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon’s 4th annual Bike-A-Thon will take place in late September, according to the city parks and recreation officials.

We Cycle Mount Vernon is set for 10 a.m. – 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The rain date is Saturday, Oct. 1.

The course’s starting and ending point is the intersection of Gramatan Avenue and Broad Street.

The city will be posting detailed route information at a later date.

Registration is required and costs $10 before the event, and $15 on-site.

Participants must have their own bikes and use helmets and other protective gear, the city said.
