MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - Snow is beginning to fall on Mount Vernon from the nor'easter and is expected to continue through the early morning hours.
The National Weather Service reports that less than a half-inch of snow will fall on the city from 4 to 7 p.m. Rain also may be mixed in with the snow. Wind gusts are expected to be as high as 45 mph.
The weather service reports snow exclusively should fall on Mount Vernon between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. with wind gusts as high as 60 mph. Periods of rain and snow are expected Thursday before noon with a slight chance of rain until 3 p.m. The skies are expected to be mostly clear by Thursday night.
