The storm that brought a light dusting and resulted in some slick spots on roadways Friday morning has moved east, but a coastal storm could bring a new round of snow on Saturday.
The storm is expected to remain mainly east of the Hudson Valley, according to the National Weather Service, but could result in 1-3 inches of accumulation, especially to areas farther south and east. Areas farther north, including North Rockland, Northern Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess should see no more than an inch of accumulation.
After a partly sunny day Friday with a high hovering around the freezing mark. but wind-chill values between 20 and 25, the overnight low be in the mid teens, with the wind chill making it feel more like it's better 5 and 10 degrees.
The snow chance for Saturday starts at around 9 a.m. during another frigid day in which the high temperature will struggle to get above 25, with wind-chill values between 5 and 15 degrees.
The snow chance continues until around 9 p.m. Saturday.
The outlook for Sunday calls for mostly sunny skies with a high around 25.
