Fairfield's Pequot Library Offers Free Children's Concert FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A free Music for Youth young person's concert will be held at the Pequot Library Saturday, Feb. 6. The concert will be from 2-3 p.m. and will feature the Brown-Canellakis Duo. Pianist and composer, Michael Brown, along with, cellist, Nicholas Canellakis will perform classical masterpieces as well as original compositions.  Adults attending with children are admitted for free and those without are asked to make a donation. Furuya Sisters Lead The Musical Lineup At Fairfield's Pequot Library FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Pequot Library in Southport is announcing its music schedule for the New Year.The Furuya Sisters Chamber Trio will play Sunday, Jan. 17, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The Furuya Sisters are graduates of Juilliard, and have played for audiences worldwide. Individual tickets are $25 in advance at pequotlibrary.org, or $30 at the door. Westport Library Will Screen 'The Secret of Santa Vittoria' WESTPORT, Conn.-- The Westport Public Library will have a screening of "The Secret of Santa Vittoria" on Saturday, Jan. 16.The screening will take place from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Center for Senior Activities.  Author Robert Crichton wrote the best-selling book in 1966 and it was made into a movie. His niece, Westport resident Maggie Mudd, will introduce the film, which stars Anthony Quinn. Violinist Benjamin Beilman Joins Stamford Symphony STAMFORD, Conn.-- The Stamford Symphony will perform two Mozart concerts at the Palace Theater featuring violinist Benjamin Beilman. The concerts, called "Magnificently Mozart" are at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17. Beilman will play Mozart Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major. This will be one of the final chances for the public to view the current exhibition, "Exploring America: Christopher Columbus," which is open through Friday, Jan. 15, during normal library hours.  On view are rare books about Columbus and his expeditions, including a facsimile of a letter he wrote of his journeys in 1492.
