Mount Vernon Grad Mitchell Receives College Honor

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Mount Vernon graduate Tyrone Mitchell turned in an excellent all-around game for SUNY-Cobleskill in an 82-80 loss Saturday to Penn State-Abbington.

Mount Vernon graduate Tyrone Mitchell was selected the SUNY-Cobleskill Department of Sport and Exercise Athlete of the Week.

Mitchell finished with a team-leading 19 points and also added four rebounds and two assists. As a result of his performance, Mitchell was named the SUNY-Cobleskill Department of Sport and Exercise athlete of the week.

Mitchell leads the team in scoring at 11.9 points per game and also is averaging 3.8 rebounds and one rebound.
