Hometown Basketball Star Torey Thomas Signing Book In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – International basketball star and hometown hero Torey Thomas is returning to White Plains on Monday at 3 p.m. to sign pre-orders of his book, “Aspire to Inspire” at the White Plains Library.

Thomas will also be giving a brief inspirational speech about setting and achieving goals along with reading an excerpt from his book. He will also sign posters, t-shirts and basketballs.

Thomas, 30, played for White Plains High School and Holy Cross College. He has lived his life setting and creating his goals, and would like to share the knowledge and experiences he has gained in his journey with his hometown community, particularly the youth.

He will also be talking about his non-profit program “New York Blaze Athletic Club,” a program that teaches life skills through sports all year long. Parents will have the opportunity to receive information and enroll their children in the Blaze program. Light refreshments will be served and there will be plenty of opportunities for the community to have one-on-one interaction with the Thomas.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. for the public. This event is free and no registration is required.
