Former Mount Vernon Basketball Star To Transfer From WVU

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Former Mount Vernon basketball standout Jabarie Hinds is one of three West Virginia players who is transferring from the program.

Mountaineers coach Bob Huggins announced that Hinds, Volodymyr Gerun and Aaron Brown will all leave the team after a 13-19 season that ended with a seven-game losing streak.

The sweet-shooting sophomore averaged 7.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists on 35.1 percent shooting this season, but he saw his minutes drop dramatically toward the end of the season.

It’s uncertain where Hinds or the other players will be transferring.
