MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Hamilton said the man charged in the rape of a 13-year-old girl has no affiliation with the Mount Vernon school district track and field program.
Samuel Davis was charged with rape for a sexual relationship he had with the girl. Davis met the girl through an athletic program at John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx.
“This man has no affiliation with the Mount Vernon city school district and/or our track program. Any information that links him to our district is coincidental. It is important for our community to know our students remain safe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim and her family,” said Hamilton.
