MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – With interim Schools Superintendent Judith Johnson set to begin her second and final year this fall, the Mount Vernon School District has reached out to the community to determine what characteristics her successor ought to possess.
A survey was posted on the district website this week, asking residents both with and without children enrolled in school, asking what traits and attributes are most important to them in a superintendent.
“Now is the time to develop a process by which a search can be designed and implemented for the purpose of finding a permanent superintendent,” the district wrote on the survey. “Before we begin, we are seeking input from the public to hear their opinions on how the trustees might best proceed with the search.”
