The Conference was held Nov. 13 at Fairfield University. A total of 11 High Schools participated in the conference from the Tri-State area, the Mount Vernon Enquirer said.

Fairfield's Model UN is a student club that operates under the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA USA) and is open to all undergraduates in any major.

The purpose of the annual conference is to allow high school students to discuss and debate relevant global issues. The college students act as the chairpersons for each committee, while the high school students take the role of delegates, the Mount Vernon Enquirer said.
