WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The local winners of the 2013 "Trimathlon" were recently announced, with students from all over Westchester receiving prizes and Edgewood Elementary in Scarsdale winning the school contest and a $250 prize for its PTA.
The third annual "Mathnasium Trimathlon" was held at one of Mathnasium’s newest centers at 747 White Plains Road in Scarsdale.
“The Mathnasium TriMathlon represents a wonderful opportunity for kids to have fun, test their math skills, and earn money for local schools," Shane Bland, director of Mathnasium of Scarsdale, said in a statement. "It demonstrates that math can be fun, and at the same time provides a way for the students to give back to their community, which is a wonderful lesson for kids at this age."
