The district launched a digital learning initiative that provides each student in grades three through 12 with an email address. To learn to write emails properly, students sent messages to each other, their teachers and Oli, the Superintendent's Reading Challenge mascot.

National Digital Learning Day takes place on Wednesday this year, when the schools are closed for the Presidents Week break.

The day started in 2012 as a way for educators to promote effective use of modern technology in learning and teaching.
