The "Super Community Blood Drive" was held at Mount Vernon High School on Wednesday, Nov. 20 and representatives with the school district said the drive was a success. The event was sponsored by the National Honor Society, Chapter 95, in collaboration with the New York Blood Center.

Coordinator Peggy William, a member of Chapter 95 worked with several high school volunteers on the drive.

"Many of the volunteer students provided baked goods for the many donors that showed up – whether they qualified to donate blood or not," representatives said. "Overall, it was a very successful, unique and well planned ‘Super Community Blood Drive’ – run by Mount Vernon High school students."
