Mount Vernon Board of Education Meeting Scheduled For Tuesday

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A regular meeting of the city's School Board of Education has been scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 at The Education Center, 165 North Columbus Ave.

Upon the meeting's open, the board is expected to entertain a motion to enter executive session to discuss "matters pertaining to the employment history of a person or persons and a particular corporation or corporations."

When the board returns, it is expected to take action on resolutions related to some of the issues discussed in executive session.

There will be no opportunity for public comment at this meeting. The next opportunity for public comment will be on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Members of the public wishing to address the board must sign up with the District Clerk's Office by 4 p.m. Dec. 16.
