Heating Problem Fixed At Mount Vernon Charter School

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - The Amani Charter School reopened Thursday after a heating problem on Wednesday closed the school.

Debra Stern, executive director of the school, said that the problem was fixed and students returned to school Thursday. Stern said with the weather less than 20 degrees the past few days, the building had to be repaired before classes could resume.
