Edmundson Wins Community Service Award At Mount Vernon's Thornton HS

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Thornton High School senior Jordan Edmundson was recently honored with The Matthew Kevin Moore Role Model, Leadership, and Community Service Award, according to a press release from the Mount Vernon City School District.

“Jordan is a very involved and caring young man who is diligent, conscientious, responsible and always willing to help out his fellow classmates,” Kevin Moore said in a press release.

Edmundson joined the National Spanish Honor Society in 2014, and also helps tutor children in the community.

Edmundson has also been named multiple times to the school’s honor rolls, the principal’s honor roll, the English high honor roll, and the language honor roll.

He also helps Thornton High prepare for special events, and assists with the school’s fundraising activities.
