Video/Photo: SUV Topples Utility Poles In Bergenfield

BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- A male driver was hospitalized after his SUV toppled two utility poles in downtown Bergenfield early Wednesday, responders said.

Toppled transformers were damaged.

Two toppled transformers were severely damaged in the 6 a.m. crash on the north side of Washington Avenue across from West Broad Street.  

"Speed was definitely a factor," Police Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said.
