Former Longtime Park Ridge Teacher Margaret Fortmann Dies At 93

PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- Margaret Alice Fortmann, of Park Ridge, died on Sunday, Dec. 18. She was 93.

Born in Frankfort, New York, Fortmann graduated from Syracuse University. She taught elementary school in the Park Ridge district for many years.

She was also a devoted parishioner of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Montvale.

Fortmann is survived by her sons, Peter and Jeremy Head, and grandchildren, Melissa, Kevin, Jeremy and Kyle. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Abigail Davis; husband, Richard Head and husband Bernhard Fortmann.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, 155 Kinderkamack Rd., in Park Ridge, with a memorial service at 2:30 p.m.
