The protesters said Fidelity should drop their support of Garrett (R), who they believe is against gay rights.
"My retirement savings is in Fidelity. They should be representing me, not this bigot in Congress," Eustace told Daily Voice. "He needs to be removed."
The Garrett reelection campaign said the protest was an attempt to "mislead constituents" by supporters of Garrett's challenger in the Fifth District, democrat Josh Gottheimer.
"Josh Gottheimer is a simply a political insider leveraging his Clinton connections in order to push his way into Congress so he can go to Washington and help out his special interest campaign donors," "Garrett for Congress" Campaign Manager Sarah Neibart said in a statement.
Eustace was joined at the protest by students from Bergen County Community College and Ramapo College, as well as members of the Committee Against Violence, Garden State Equality, New Jersey Citizen Action and the National Organization for Women.
The group chanted and waved signs that said "Scott Garrett Has Got To Go!"
"Garrett's views are antiquated, chauvinistic and obtuse," said Karlito Almeda, a member of the Ramapo College Democrats.
"Legal protection for gays and lesbians is a fundamental right and a moral obligation. For this reason, we call on Fidelity Investments to cease their support for Garrett's reelection campaign," he added. "It's time for them to stand against discrimination."
