Greenwich Man Faces Multiple Drug Charges

A Greenwich man was arrested Wednesday after police searched his home and found drugs within easy access of his 6-year-old son. Police were sent to the residence to check on the welfare of the child. Once inside, they found the house in "disarray," and conditions were unsanitary for a child.

While speaking to the man, police noticed a small Ziploc bag containing nine pills within easy access of the child. Members of the narcotics section executed a search-and-seizure warrant and found narcotics, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, drug records and cash.

He was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a drug factory, risk of injury to a minor, illegal storage of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school and possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school. The man was held on $25,000 bond and is due in court Jan 12.

Also from the police department:

• Simon James Mason, 36, of 61 Fawn Ridge Lane, Wilton, was arrested Tuesday on charges of criminal attempt at possession of marijuana after he tried to buy marijuana from an undercover cop. Mason contacted the undercover narcotics section police officer and arranged to buy drugs on Division Street in Greenwich. When he arrived, members of the narcotics section approached the car and Mason admitted to attempting to buy marijuana. He was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court Jan. 18.

• Linda J. Frenette, 49, of 3047 E. Kings Ave., Phoenix, turned herself in to the Greenwich Police Department on Tuesday on an outstanding warrant on charges of failing to appear in court Dec. 27. She was originally arrested Nov. 3 on drug law violations and driving under the influence. She was released on a promise to appear in court Jan. 12.
