Developers of a 55-unit luxury apartment complex were joined by Yonkers officials on Wednesday to celebrate the completion of construction at 1177@Greystone.
City officials and members of Ginsburg Development Companies celebrated a “topping off” ceremony, marking the completion of the final floor and roof of the Warburton Avenue building, complete with the raising of an American Flag atop the three-story building.
The apartments feature 10-foot high ceilings, oversized windows and wide plank flooring, according to the developers. Kitchens include Euro-style cabinetry, porcelain tile backsplash, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. The complex includes one, two and three-bedroom units.
1177@Greystone is just a block away from another Ginsburg development, the River Tides at Greystone, which is a block away and recently opened its doors to renters.
“We are excited to reach this milestone event which signals that this great new addition to the Greystone neighborhood is rapidly nearing completion,” Ginsburg Principal Martin Ginsburg said. “Together with River Tides, 1177 will firmly establish the Greystone area of Yonkers as one of the prime luxury apartment living destinations in Westchester County.”
Officials said that monthly rent will range from $2,150 to $3,995. Occupancy is scheduled for May 1.
“1177@Greystone can now be added to the growing list of transit-oriented developments that are part of the great revitalization efforts we see here along the Yonkers waterfront,”Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano added. “Developers like Ginsburg have the vision to repurpose deteriorating properties into resort-style homes and reclaim our beautiful Hudson River views.”
