Ron Stokes and Elliot Krowe were elected co-chairs, Lisa Mackay as vice chair, Shelia Schraier as secretary, Joe Vittoria as treasurer and Bob Giordano as organizational chair.

In addition, district leaders were approved and announced for the 43 election districts in the town. “We as a committee must focus our efforts on ensuring that the people of Yorktown are represented by their choice of candidates - not those chosen by others with a political agenda," said Krowe.

Stokes discussed the diversity of the leaders. “The Democratic Committee is pleased with the diverse group of new district leaders coming on board who are informed and engaged with the issues facing the town,” said Stokes.

MacKay commented on the need for discussion about town situations.

“Our town needs more discussion, inclusion and compromise," said Mackay. "My way or the highway is not a good strategy. Residents want a say in what is going on in the town. We are an inclusive committee not and exclusive committee.”
