MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. According to a poll released by The Daily Voice, Mount Vernon residents who responded support President Barack Obama for re-election.
A poll posted Oct. 4 on The Mount Vernon Daily Voice found that 72 percent of residents thought Republican challenger Mitt Romney won the first presidential debate. Still, an Oct. 9 poll showed that 58 percent of those who responded support Obama, while 30 percent support Romney. The additional people polled were either undecided or said they weren't going to vote.
An Oct. 11 poll found that 55 percent of residents who responded thought Republican Paul Ryan won the vice-presidential debate, with Vice President Joe Biden garnering 40 percent. The rest of those who responded thought it was too close to call.
An Oct. 17 poll found that 86 percent of residents who responded thought President Obama won the second debate.
