MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – While Mount Vernon residents stock up on food and water in preparation of Thursday’s snowstorm, Mayor Ernie Davis may be soaking up the sun in Pompano Beach, Fla., published reports said.
According to News12, City Council President Yuhanna Edwards will serve as acting mayor until Davis returns. Edwards assured the public they will not be tasked with paying for the trip.
The National Weather Service reports that as many as 6 inches of snow may fall in Westchester before the weekend. The inclement weather is likely to hit before noon on Thursday and will continue through Friday afternoon. A winter weather advisory has been put in place for the region.

Davis is a fake and a fraud. And because "Yuhanna Edwards assured the public they will not be tasked with paying for the trip" makes me strongly suspect it's not true.
But Oldtimer78 is right about sticking to real news. How about more investigating into Davis' questionable financial activities and misappropriation of the taxpayers' dollars; ask why the city of Mount Vernon is filthy throughout - garbage strewn about on every street; look into why hundreds of street lights have not been working for several months; ask about the conditions of the roads, each and every one having potholes, some more than a foot wide and several inches deep; etc etc etc.
Please, he was at Mount Vernon Day. Every Mayor since Augie Petrillo has attended. This is the first time I remember Mrs. Walker not attending.
He is just doing his job. If his Public Works Commissioner needs him to tell him his job, something is wrong.
He was criticized for being stuck out of town during Sandy, yet Mt. Vernon did a better cleanup job than our neighbors.
Stick to real news, not garbage..
