Huge Voter Turnout In Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Mount Vernon poll workers said that voter turnout was huge today for the 2012 presidential election.

Councilman RIchard Thomas said there were long lines around 9 a.m. to vote at Graham Elementary School. Thomas said several nearby polling places were closed and voters were sent to Graham instead.

"We worked hard for this and we have to make sure the right man gets elected," Thomas said. "I am excited with the turnout and can't wait to see the results."
