Healthcare Workers Union Endorses Mayor Ernie Davis For Re-Election

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- On August 12 11999SEIU United Healthcare Workers East overwhelmingly endorsed Mayor Ernie Davis for re-election as Mt. Vernon mayor.

“Our union always focuses on what will be best for working people when making an endorsement and Mayor Davis has a strong track record of looking out for the health, safety and well-being of working families. We are confident that he will continue to serve the people of Mount Vernon well,” said Kevin Finnegan, Political Director of 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East.

The Mt. Vernon Democratic City Committee and Teamsters Local 456 also endorsed Mayor Davis.

“We have accomplished much but there is still work left to do. I am grateful to 1199SEIU for everything it has done for the community and for its support of my re-election campaign. I look forward to continuing our efforts to create a better Mt. Vernon for every one of us,” Mayor Ernie Davis said.
