Video: Firefighters In Westchester Extinguish Car Engine Fire

Firefighters in Hartsdale worked quickly recently to extinguish a fire that broke out in the engine of a parked car.

Crews were dispatched to the intersection of North Central Avenue and Concord Avenue in Hartsdale at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, after receiving reports of an active car fire in the area.

Upon arrival, firefighters worked quickly to stretch a line and began extinguishing the fire. Crews were able to then gain access to the vehicle’s engine and passenger compartment to completely extinguish the blaze, while a second engine waited in the wings in case supplementary water was required.

The cause of the fire is unknown. No injuries were reported from the incident.
