The robbery occurred at around 12:53 a.m. at the Exxon gas station and convenience store located at 750 North Broadway. Only the store clerk was inside the store when the suspect displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash from the clerk, according to police.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery.

Prior to the arrival of patrol officers, the suspect fled on foot. The North Castle Police Department said that it is confident the suspect then fled the area.

The suspect is described as white, possibly Hispanic, who appeared to have dark hair, approximately 5-foot-8, wearing a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants as well as a white surgical type mask over his face.

A similar armed robbery occurred in Port Chester at 2:42 a.m. Tuesday. The nature of the crime in Port Chester, as well as the descriptions of the suspects in both crimes, has led police to link the two incidents together.
