Police officials confirmed that shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday night, officers responded to a two-story building at 60 Mount Vernon Ave. after neighbors reported shots fired in a stairwell in the domicile.
As of Friday morning, it had not been announced if there were any injuries, suspects or arrests as the investigation continues. Portions of Mount Vernon Avenue were closed off to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Thursday, though it was reopened for the morning commute.
