MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon police are seeking the public's help in finding those responsible for a Sunday drive-by shooting that left one man dead, according to a News 12 report.

Jovelle Stewart, 20, was sitting in his friend's car about 4 p.m. on North High Street when he was hit in the head with a bullet when multiple shots were fired. He died before reaching the hospital, News 12 says.

Police told News 12 that they believe the suspects were in a Volkswagen and drove toward the Bronx River Parkway.
