NYS Crime Stoppers Offer Reward In Relation To 2012 Mount Vernon Homicide

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – The New York State Crime Stoppers are teaming with the Mount Vernon Police Department as they continue to search for a gunman who killed a city cab driver.

On Friday, the Crime Stoppers offered a reward of up to $2,500 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons responsible for the death of Harold Jackson, who was gunned down in 2012.

According to police, shortly after 2 a.m. on Sept. 29, 2012, Jackson was shot multiple times in a parking lot on South Seventh Avenue, a few blocks north of Third Street.

An anonymous party took the then 34-year-old Jackson to Montefiore Hospital, where he passed away from his wounds.
