Since the day her body was found on Feb. 14, 1988, along Carlton Avenue in Mount Vernon law enforcement officials have worked to uncover her identity.

Others have tried to help, the national center has worked to come up with the composite of her face to keep her memory alive. But no one has stepped forward. And, the Mount Vernon police have not uncovered who she is.

When found in an industrial area, the woman, believed to be between 18- and 25-years-old had only been dead for a few hours.

Described as a white female with long, light brown thick hair and hazel eyes, the woman was 5-foot-3 and weighed around 105 pounds. She had freckles on her face that ran under her eyes, a few birth marks on her forehead, and a large birthmark on the right side of her neck along her collarbone.

Both of her ears were pierced but she was not wearing any earrings. She was wearing fake press-on nails with a reddish-pink polish. She also appeared to have cared for her teeth, with no fillings or decay.

Her face will continue to stare from the pages of the website until perhaps someday, someone will look at the website and a memory will spark that will help solve, at least, her identity.

Anyone who may know the woman's identity or have information about the case should contact 1-800-843-5678 or the Mount Vernon Police Department at 914-668-6841.
