MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon's former secretary to the water commissioner was arrested and charged with allegedly creating false overtime claims, according to LoHud.com .
Shauna Williams, 44, was responsible for payroll at the Board of Water Supply and allegedly made false claims of overtime worked that netted her more than $4,000, LoHud.com reported.
Williams resigned her position on Friday, Nov. 1 and she was charged with third-degree grand larceny. Williams could spend a maximum of seven years in prison if found guilty. She is due to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 16, according to LoHud.com.
