MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- City police shot and killed two dogs after they attacked two people on Wednesday, May 14, according to News 12 Westchester. 

Police arrived on the scene and shot the two dogs after they followed the two victims and attacked them, News 12 Westchester said. 

The victims were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries, News 12 Westchester reported.

Apparently, the dogs were running loose. There is a leash law in Mount Vernon but it's not enforced, as are many other laws and ordinances in Mount Vernon, the "City Where Anything Goes".
